About the Role:
This role is based in Cypress, TX, Chicago, IL or Boston, MA, and requires 5 days in office each week. However, it is essential for the development of business that this position also requires having the ability to travel and meet with brokers, clients, attend industry functions and events as well as attend company meetings.
The ideal candidate will underwrite new and renewal General Property business in accordance with the company underwriting guidelines, line setting standards, data-driven analytics, and letter of underwriting authority. The candidate will maintain appropriate workloads and control business written up to and including the time of binding according to Company guideline and established CrossCover Insurance procedures. The candidate will provide a high-quality level of service to Brokers and Companies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Underwrite a profitable book of surplus lines E&S Property risks employing the appropriate analytical diagnostics to assess acceptability retaining a diversified mix of business to achieve overall growth and profit objectives.
- Expertise in analysing E&S property pricing adequacy.
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions in a highly complex and competitive environment with a broad range of wholesale brokers.
- Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Executing a marketing strategy that recognizes the risk appetite of the E&S property and the wholesale brokers that produce desirable accounts to meet new business and renewal business goals.
Required Education/Training & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. CPCU, ARM, and/or ASLI designations are a plus.
- A minimum of six years’ E&S Property or complex Property experience.
- Strong negotiation and business development abilities.
- Established wholesale broker relationships are highly desired.
- Field engineering background is a plus.

- In-depth knowledge of the E&S Property lines of business and legal and regulatory guidelines, to include demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of a progression of positions with increasing responsibility.
- Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Instruct support staff on the handling of cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and company requirements.
- Review and handle policy servicing requests (endorsement, audits, company requests, Certificates, Premium Finance Notices and Cancellations, etc.) appropriately.
- Maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of clients, Agents, and new business.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.

For this position, the salary will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the
knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate. The position is eligible to participate in
the company bonus plan, including profit sharing. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive and
