CrossCover Insurance Services is a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) company providing high limits and innovative products to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and confident Underwriting Assistant who believes he or she will contribute to CrossCover immediately.
Position Summary
Underwriting Assistants provide additional support to the Underwriter in quoting and binding policies and managing the book of business. Job tasks could vary, but often include preparing submissions for underwriters, administrative duties, as well as organizing and arranging account files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clear and assign submissions to Underwriters in CoverIT
- Prepare account files for the Underwriters to quote
- Create documentation (Binders, Policies, Endorsements) to be sent to Brokers
- Order inspections
- Request Loss Runs
- Other duties as assigned by Underwriters
Required Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Detail oriented
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Key Competencies
Organization, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
